Small-time actress held for threatening & abusing cops

A small-time actress was today arrested for threatening and abusing policemen, who came knocking at her door in suburban Andheri for allegedly playing loud music late last night, police said.
Model-turned-actress Anjum Nayar was arrested and booked under IPC sections 294 (obscene acts and songs), 353 (deter public servant from discharge of his duty), 504 (intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of peace) and 506 (criminal intimidation), police said.
According to police, Anjum, who resides on the 20th floor of the 'Samartha Angan' building in suburban Andheri, was playing music at a high volume yesterday night following which irate neighbours complained to cops.

Two policemen came knocking at the door at about 2 AM today and when she was told to reduce the volume, she began abusing the policemen, besides threatening them of dire consequences.
She was then taken to Oshiwara police, where she was placed under arrest, police said adding that she would be produced before the court tomorrow.
