IGP-BTAD A Agarwal and District & Session Judge, Kokrajhar P K Das jointly inaugurated the Bulk SMS System yesterday in the presence of district Deputy Commissioner Bibekananda Choudhury, Superintendent of Police Rajen Sing and other senior police officials of Kokrajhar and police station Officers in Charge of different police stations.
The system would help to bridge the gap of communication between judiciary and police system at the district level with all officers including District Magistrate getting timely information regarding summons as well as date of deposing in the court ensuring dissemination of information from top to the bottom level on the click of a button, official sources said.
