The meteorological department has forecast rain and snowfall in middle and high hills of Himachal Pradesh from Wednesday to March 23.
It also has issued a yellow warning for rainfall and thunderstorm accompanied with lightning in plains and low and middle hills of the state on Saturday.
The department issues colour-coded warnings to alert the public ahead of severe or hazardous weather, with 'yellow' indicating least danger.
On Tuesday, Lahaul-Spiti's administrative centre Keylong recorded the lowest temperature at minus 7.5 degrees Celsius, said Shimla Met Centre Director Manmohan Singh.
Manali recorded a low of 0.6 degrees Celsius, followed by Kalpa (1.2), Kufri (3.6), Shimla (6.1) and Dalhousie (6.8), Singh added.
