As part of its restructuring plans, Socomec Innovative Power Solutions, a fully owned subsidiary of France-based Socomec Group, today announced integration of all its business verticals into one entity.
The Socomec Group earlier was operating two entities in India -- Socomec India Pvt Ltd and Socomec Innovative Power Solutions Pvt Ltd.
While Socomec India was handling sales and marketing, back office support for energy efficiency and power control safety business applications, the critical power and solar power entities were managed by the other entity -- Socomec Innovative Power Solutions Ltd.
Effective this month, Socomec India Pvt Ltd would manage the manufacturing facility based in Gurgaon while Socomec Innovative Power Solutions Pvt Ltd would handle the rest of the operations, a company statement said.
"The transition started happening slowly early this year by moving the power control and safety business applications and energy efficiency incorporated under Socomec Innovative Power Solutions," the statement said.
Following the departure of Marc Klein, in charge of Marketing, Sales, all sales support, service, marketing, finance and HR functions were brought under one roof-Socomec Innovative Power Solutions, it said.
"The integration of our two different entities will further develop Socomec activities in the professional field by strengthening our management base and increasing our competitiveness," Socomec Innovative Power Solutions Managing Director Olivier Tremouille said.
"Our organisation is evolving in order to provide more coherent product and service offer to our valuable customers," he said.
The company's factory in Gurgaon would produce load break switches, manual changeover switches, motorised changeover switches, multifunction metres among others, it said.
Socomec Group employs over 3,000 people and has 21 subsidiaries worldwide, the statement said.
