Sonia begins 2-day visit to her parliamentary constituency

Congress president Sonia Gandhi arrived here this evening on a two-day visit to her parliamentary constituency.
On her way to the Bhueymau guest house, Gandhi was greeted by a large number of people who gathered along the road. They thanked the Congress MP for the Rs 4,156-crore package announced recently by the central government for various ITIs including one here.
The Congress president also visited the low cost housing project site in Barvaripur, where keys will be presented to some occupants tomorrow.
Later in the day, Gandhi met Congress functionaries at the guest house.
Tomorrow, she will meet the public in the morning, after which she will conduct surprise inspections of various establishments, Congress sources said.
