Congress President Sonia Gandhi today strongly condemned the twin bomb attack in Istanbul that killed 29 people and injured 166 others, saying it was an "unacceptable act of terror" against innocent citizens.
"It is one that is particularly painful for the people of Turkey, who have faced series of attacks from militants and terrorists this year," she said in a statement.
Calling it an "unacceptable act of terror" against innocent citizens, she said "our heart goes out to the families of those who have lost the family members".

Expressing solidarity with people and government of Turkey, Gandhi urged for unity to defeat terror and extremism.
