Sonia Gandhi condoles demise of Katare

Congress president Sonia Gandhi has condoled the demise today of Leader of Opposition in Madhya Pradesh Assembly Satyadev Katare.
In her condolence message, she said, Katare as a dedicated political leader played an important role in public service.
"Not just the Congress party but the entire state of Madhya Pradesh has suffered irreparable loss in the death of Katare," she said giving her condolences to his family.
Separately, Lok Sabha Speaker Sumitra Mahajan also condoled the demise of Katare.
In her message, she said, "I am pained to learn about the demise of Shri Satyadev Katare. He dedicated his entire life for social work. He worked for the politics and the people of his area for a long time. His sad demise is an irreparable loss for Madhya Pradesh. I convey my heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family."
Katare passed away today at a Mumbai hospital, family sources said. He was 61.
Born on February 15, 1955, Katare was a senior Congress leader and is survived by his wife, two sons and a daughter.

Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi also expressed his condolences to the family of Katare.
"Extremely saddened by the untimely demise of senior Congress leader Shri Satyadev Katareji. My thoughts & prayers are with his family(sic)," he tweeted.
