Diplomatic passport holders from India and Spain will soon be able to travel to each other's country without visas.
The Union Cabinet today gave its approval for signing of an agreement on the abolition of visa requirement for holders of diplomatic passports between India and Spain.
The agreement will facilitate visa-free travel for holders of diplomatic passport of one country while entering into, transiting through, exiting from or staying for up to 90 days in the territory of the other country, an official statement said.
Certain safeguards are also proposed to prevent misuse of the facility.
India has similar agreement with 40 countries.
