Sorcar actor-daughter puts to use hoodwink skill on screen

In a rerun of reel life, bubly Moubani Sorcar, the magician-popular actor daughter of conjurer P C Sorcar (Junior), will do the con act in 'Hey Prabhu Dekha De', a new age Bengali comic flick.
"This is the first time I will be essaying the role of a smooth-talking girl conster, who will empty the wallet and pick up mobile phones from unsuspecting commuters and people in public places. I will put to use my magic skill to perform the tricks," Moubani told PTI here.
The gifted actor, having portrayed an anti-dam activist on the lines of NBA spearhead Medha Patkar in Nodi Re Tui, said her character can be called as having shades of the female duper in superhit Bunty Aur Bubbly essayed by Abhisek Bachhan and Rani Mukherjee respectively.

"As having partnered my family on stage magic shows in past and learning the ropes from parents, you can infer I can help my cast and crew how to turn the hoodwink act believable during shoot," she said adding story-wise "Dekha De! Has also shades of southern superhit.
"Ready to pick up tips from Maneka, my on-screen Bubbly, yes not entirely but we are an on-screen Bengali version of Bunty ands Bubbly here," debutant lead Ishaan said.
Famed south Indian director Mutta Gopi Anand is directing the film which also casts Madras Cafe sensation, Tollywood personality and entrepreneur Arijit Dutta in a role.
