"The export of soyabean meal during June, 2016, is just 17,934 tonnes, compared to 16,647 tonnes in June 2015, showing a marginal increase of 7.73 per cent over the same period of last year," Soyabean Processors' Association of India (SOPA) said in a statement.
For the April-June quarter, soyameal exports fell by 62 per cent to 40,634 tonnes as compared to 1,06,209 tonnes in the corresponding period of the previous year on lower demand.
Total exports in the first nine months of 2015-16 oil year ending September, fell by 65 per cent to 2,26,404 tonnes against 6,55,837 tonnes in the same period of previous year.
