Launching a scathing attack on the Samajwadi Party, BSP supremo Mayawati today accused the ruling party of creating a reign of hooliganism and committing "utmost atrocities" against women in Uttar Pradesh.
"Samajwadi Party (SP) has made no developments in the state. There are utmost crime, goondagradi (hooliganism) and corruption as lots of officers have been transferred," she said while addressing an election rally here.
Attacking the BJP, Mayawati said that no development was made by the central government during its three-year tenure.
"BJP has harassed people specially the poor, farmers and small businessmen by banning high-value currency notes. Many businesses have failed due to the demonetisation. BJP promised to bring 'achche din', but there were no such good days and people should beware of BJP," she said.
"No development was made by SP while a lot of money has been wasted in advertisement. SP supported criminals who committed utmost atrocities against women. BSP would enquire the corruption if it comes to power. BSP would provide better payment to sugarcane farmers and send goondas to jail," Mayawati said.
Attacking Congress, she said Congress did nothing during its 54-year rule in the centre and 27-year tenure in UP.
Mayawati alleged that, "SP and BJP were planning to end reservation. Riots in Muzaffarnagar took place with the connivance of SP and BJP".
She appealed to the people to vote for BSP to bring development and bring an end to "goondagardi" in UP.
The BSP is locked in a three-corned electoral fight in the state with SP-Congress combine and the BJP.
Assembly elections in Uttar Pradesh will be held from February 11 to March 8 in seven phases.
