SP MLC booked for flouting model code of conduct

Samajwadi Party MLC Virender Singh has been booked for violating the model code of conduct ahead of Assembly polls in Kandhla town of Shamli district, police said today.
A case was lodged against Singh yesterday after he held a gathering at his residence without permission, they said.
In another incident, Congress youth leader Juner Rauf was booked yesterday for violating the model code of conduct in kotwali area here on January 7.
