Krishna Bhatia was allegedly murdered after being kidnapped on Thursday evening from here by four persons who dumped the body in Upper Dari Doab canal in Gurdaspur district.
While reviewing law and order situation, the IG Police (Border Range) Lok Nath Angara and DIG (Border Range) Kunwar Partap Singh said two of victim's neighbours, Sunil Kumar and Bikramjit Singh, have been arrested. Three persons have been rounded up for questioning while one is absconding.
Angara said no one would be allowed to create law and order problems and the police would deal with such incidents with an iron hand.
