SPARC shares down over 5 pc as Q1 loss widens

Shares of Sun Pharma Advanced Research Company (SPARC) fell by over 5 per cent today after it reported widening of standalone net loss to Rs 36.41 crore for the June quarter.
The scrip lost 4.94 per cent to close at Rs 357.15 on BSE. Intra-day, it slipped 6.46 per cent to Rs 351.40.
At NSE, shares of the company fell by 5.2 per cent to close at Rs 356.95.
In terms of volume, 2.37 lakh shares of the company were traded on BSE and over 10 lakh shares changed hands at NSE during the day.
The company had posted a net loss of Rs 1.65 crore for the corresponding period of the previous fiscal, SPARC said in a BSE filing.
Standalone total income from operations for the quarter under consideration also decreased to Rs 21.48 crore as against Rs 43.44 crore for the same period year ago.
