Sparks from crackers trigger minor fire at airport

Sparks from crackers, which were burst by the airport authorities to scare away birds at the airport here today, fell into an oil can, leading to a minor fire, airport sources said.
The incident happened at Bay no 62 at the Domestic airport and five planes were parked in nearby bays, sources said.
However, there was no damage to life or property since the fire was extinguished immediately, sources added.
