The train named Panch Takht, to be launched by Indian Railways Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC), will cover famous Takhts situated in various parts of the country like Sri Hazoor Sahib at Nanded, Maharashtra, Sri Patna Sahib at Patna, Sri Damdama Sahib in Bhatinda, Sri Harmandir Sahib (Sri Akal Takht Sahib) at Amritsar and Sri Keshgarh Sahib at Anandpur Sahib.
The train, consisting of seven sleeper coaches and a pantry car, will be starting from Dhuri station in Punjab and will return to the same station in 10 days.
The official said special arrangements will be made for the night stay for the passengers at Takht Sahibs wherever required. Tour escort will take the tourists for the visit of the Takht Sahibs at various destinations.

IRCTC is running Mahaparinirvan Express, a Buddhist Circuit special train, regularly drawing Buddhist tourists from India and abroad.
