At the National Commodity and Derivative Exchange, guarseed 10 mt for delivery in far-month December contracts was up by Rs 103 or 2.73 per cent to Rs 3,869 per quintal, having an open interest of 1,420 lots.
On similar lines, the most-active delivery in October flared up by Rs 89, or 2.41 per cent to Rs 3,784 per quintal, with an open interest of 95,480 lots.
Marketmen said huge positions built up by participants on the back of a firming trend at the spot markets from guargum makers amid restricted supplies from growing regions, mainly influenced guarseed prices at futures trade here.
