In his message to 'Physio Summit 2014', which began here today, Modi expressed the hope the conference will go a long way in spreading awareness about various aspects of physiotherapy and provide a platform for meaningful discussion on the subject among experts.
The two-day summit has been organised by a private institute of physiotherapy which has centres in Vadodara and Ahmedabad. The institute had invited Modi for the summit and in response the PM sent his message to the organisers.
In her message, Gujarat Chief Minister Anandi Patel said, "As an important stream of science, physiotherapy needs illuminative and qualitative development to deal with the delicate issues of ailment."
About 1,000 delegates from various parts of the country and some from abroad are taking part in the summit.
