According to the police, Subhash Yadav, a resident of Meerut and an electrician by profession, was apprehended after an FIR against him was lodged at South Campus Police Station.
Yadav was trying to flee to his hometown when he was apprehended from Old Delhi Railway Station, they said.
The woman, who works in a private firm in the area, has been known to him for past few years.
Yadav had proposed to her, which she had rejected following which he was stalking her. Being harassed, she made a complaint with the police, said a police official.
