SR announces partial cancellation of Nilagiri express

Southern Railway today announced partial cancellation of Nilagiri Express between Coimbatore and Mettupalayam for a month starting February 1, 2018.
"Works are to be taken up at Mettupalayam railway station to increase the platform length to hold 24 coaches and to modify the foot overbridge to facilitate electrification," a Southern Railway release said.
Subsequently, Train No.12671/12672 Chennai Central
MettupalayamChennai Central Nilagiri Express trains will be partially cancelled between Coimbatore and Mettupalayam from February 1, 2018 to March 3, 2018, it said.
