The 'Vaibhavotsavams' (mainly prayers performed to the Lord at Tirumala Tirupati) began at the NTR stadium here in the presence of Union Ministers M Venkaiah Naidu, Bandaru Dattatreya, Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao (KCR) and other senior leaders.
Hailing the event, Naidu said such devotional programmes would give people relief from stress, peace and lead them on the path of righteousness.
Rao had recently created history by performing a 'yagam' on an unprecedented scale, Naidu said.
The event is a great opportunity for residents of Hyderabad to witness prayers offered to Lord Venkateswara, KCR said.
