Sriganganagar boils at 46 deg C

There was no respite from scorching heat in parts of Rajasthan where Sriganganagar was the hottest place with maximum temperature of 46 degree Celsius followed by Churu where the day temperature was 45.3 degrees Celsius.
Jaipur, Kota, Jaisalmer and Pilani also recorded maximum temperatures of 43.5, 43.3, 43 and 41.6 degree Celsius respectively.
Heat wave conditions prevailed at isolated areas in the state which is likely to continue during next 24 hours, Met department said.
Meanwhile, light rains occurred at isolated areas in Jaipur, Bharatpur, Jodhpur and Bikaner divisions since yesterday.
The weather conditions are likely to remain the same during next 24 hour, a Met forecast said.
