Both the leaders appeared set to be elected unopposed as no other candidate filed nomination for the June 11 election, to fill two vacancies.
In the 120-member Telangana Legislative Assembly, TRS has 82 members, followed by Congress (19), MIM (7), BJP (5), TDP (3), CPI (1), CPI(M) (1), Nominated (1), Independent (1).
Srinivas, a former state Congress president who was a senior minister in the government of undivided Andhra Pradesh, joined TRS last July. At present, he is an adviser to the Telangana government on the inter-state issues.
Lakshmikanta Rao, who has served in the defence forces, is a senior leader of TRS.
