SSB jawan Ajay Kumar died on the spot and others were injured when the vehicle turned over while trying to avoid hitting a cow at Tamna in Purulia district, police said.
Ten of the injured jawans were admitted to Purulia Sadar Hospital and one critically injured jawan was rushed to Tata Main Hospital in Jamshedpur.
The jawans were going to Ranchi from Jamshedpur for training when the accident occurred around 12 noon, sources said.
