The broadcast major has been replaced by Providence Equity Partners after Star decided to focus on its core business of general entertainment and sports channels, Shop CJ said in a statement.
Shop CJ would expand its presence in east and north-east through warehouses.
The firm has also launched a new brand identity and logo along with a tagline 'shop a new trend', it further said.
In addition to that the online retailer also ventured into mobile commerce by launching its Mobile app 'Shop CJ' on the android platform.
Shop CJ CFO N Ramakrishnan said: "We will be expanding our presence in east and north-east through physical warehouses. Company is also investing to improve warehouse management system which will enhance logistics and the back-end services".
