The 71-year-old creator of "Indiana Jones" franchises will be honoured in D23 Expo 2015 awards ceremony to be hosted by Disney chairman and CEO Bob Iger, reported Digital Spy.
"The Disney Legend Award is our highest honour, and we are incredibly proud to recognise these eight talented individuals who have contributed so much to the world of entertainment and the Disney legacy.
"Their vision and dedication to their work have brought joy to audiences around the globe and earned them a place in Disney history," Iger said.
The work of George Bodenheimer, Eyvind Earle, Carson Van Osten and Julie Reihm Casaletto will also be celebrated at the event.
Lucas and Elfman will join the list of Disney Legends including Tim Allen, Robin Williams and Julie Andrews.
