"You will be happy to know that the latest Economic Survey, published by the Central Government, has noted that our state has shown the lowest inflation rate in the country (less than 3 per cent)," she wrote on Facebook.
"This distinction could be achieved due to our continuous monitoring of prices of essential commodities in task force meetings held regularly," Banerjee said.
The Chief Minister said the Survey report also showed that West Bengal was ahead in agricultural production when it was on the decline in other states.
"All this is due to our regular state-level monitoring and nearly 105 review meetings at grassroot level that I along with my ministers and senior officials of the secretariat have taken with field-level functionaries," she claimed.
