"During the days of militancy, the militants from across the border used to create dumps in these areas and this seems to be one such dump of weapons," SSP Reasi Sujit Kumar told PTI.
The stockpile was found in a joint operation of army and police.
"On a specific information, a joint team of army and local police conducted a search operation in Arnas and recovered arms and ammunition hidden inside a trench," he said.
The officer said that one AK-47 assault rifle, 78 rounds of AK ammunition and one AK Magazine was recovered from the spot.
