Storm warning in Guwahati, advisory issued

Kamrup district administration has taken preparedness measures after Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) forecast possibility of storm in the district and its adjoining areas.
The district administration has also appealed to the people to follow the advisory, issued by the administration, said a government release today.
Assam's capital Guwahati is also located in Kamrup district.
The advisory include repairing the houses and removal of dead branches and dying trees as they could cause damage to the house during storm.
The advisory has asked people of the area to stay indoors during the storm and park their vehicles at a safe place, away from the power lines.
