Uttar Pradesh Chief electoral officer Umesh Sinha said, " Election Commission will take strict action in case any leader was found giving inflammatory speech in the campaigning for the coming bypolls.
He was talking to reporters after holding meeting with the district magistrates of Mainpuri and Etawah for holding free and fair polling for the Mainpuri Lok Sabha seat, slated to be held on September 13.
When asked about Samajwadi Party's complaint against BJP MP Yogi Adityanath, Sinha said so far no evidence has been found against him issuing any inflammatory speech.
The CEO who issued directives for poll preparations to officials said that for ensuring free and fair polling, Central forces would be deployed in Mainpuri.
There are altogether 1,587 polling booths in Mainpuri Lok Sabha seats of which 472 fall in Etawah district.
