Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit today exhorted Delhi residents to strictly follow the traffic rules to check road accidents.
The Chief Minister was speaking at an awareness walk organised to mark the culmination of the 2nd United Nations Global Road Safety Week which had begun on May 6.
She too joined the walk by the school children along the Motilal Nehru Marg in Central Delhi as part of the awareness campaign.
"We must strictly follow traffic rules, and by doing so we can bring down the number of road accidents in Delhi," she said.
The walk was organised to raise awareness on pedestrian safety.
