Strides shares jump after board approved special dividend

Shares of Strides Arcolab rose by over 4 per cent today after the company's board approved a special dividend of Rs 105 per share to the shareholders.
The pharma firm's scrip ended 3.76 per cent up at Rs 740 on the BSE. During the day, it jumped 5.32 per cent to Rs 751.10.
At the NSE, it rose by 4.13 per cent to settle at Rs 743.35.
On the volume front, 4.41 lakh shares of the company changed hands at the BSE, while over 20 lakh shares were traded at the NSE during the day.
Strides Arcolab in a filing to the BSE said that the Board of Directors of the company at its meeting today have approved a special dividend of Rs 105 per equity share of Rs 10 each to the shareholders.

The said special dividend will be paid on or after October 22, 2014, it said.
