The teenager jumped before Dhauladhar Express this morning, Investigating Officer Mangatram said.
According to the railway police, the student was wearing a grey colour lower and white colour shirt carrying the logo of a private school in the city.
Police said they have taken the body in their possession and kept it in a mortuary.
Efforts are being made to ascertain the identity of the student, police said.
