Student commits suicide in Bundi

An 18-year-old boy allegedly committed suicide today at his house here, police said.
Shikhar Upadhyay, a resident of New Colony area here was found hanging from the ceiling of his room by his mother in the afternoon, Assistant Sub Inspector Arjun Singh said.
The exact motive reason behind the suicide not yet clear as no suicide note was found near the body.
Upadhay had failed to clear the JEE-Main exam, results of which were declared last week, however, Singh said that failure in the exam cannot be termed as the reason behind the alleged suicide as the boy did not take any coaching for the exam and even the family members have denied that he was under any stress, Singh said.

The body was handed over to the family after postmortem and investigation is underway, the police official said.
