Student committs suicide on exam eve

A student appearing in school secondary examination today committed suicide in West Bengal's Burdwan district.
According to district superintendent of police M M H Mirza, Sajeeta Sarcar (16) hanged herself in her house under Raina police station just as she was preparing to go to appear for the examination.
She was a student of the Machkhand girls school and was appearing in the examination centre of Burdwan Sadhumoti high school.
The victim was unhappy over her performance in the ongoing examination which could be the motive behind the incident, police said.
