when miscreants riding on motorcycles lobbed a bomb at him in Aurangabad district of Bihar today, the police said.
The incident happened at Sarvodaya Nagar locality under Town police station and the deceased has been identified as Roshan Kumar (17). He was returning home after attending classes at a coaching institute.
Town Station House Officer (SHO) Sona Prasad said "The criminals came chasing Kumar from the coaching institute and escaped after throwing a bomb at him. It injured him seriously and he died while being taken to the hospital."
The deceased was the son of a government employee posted at a Primary Health Centre (PHC) in Aurangabad.
Raids were being conducted to trace and arrest those involved in the incident, the SHO said.
