Students stage protest at Osmania University

A group of students today held a protest at the Osmania University here, a day after the alleged suicide of a pupil, police said.
However, the situation in the campus was peaceful, they said.
Except a silent protest near the Arts College, no other major agitation took place in the campus, said a police official.
A 20-year-old student of the city-based university apparently committed suicide yesterday by hanging himself, police had said.
After learning about the alleged suicide, a large number of students gathered near the hostel yesterday.
