Submit proposals under 'clean UP' project: Chief secy to depts

Uttar Pradesh Chief Secretary Alok Ranjan has directed all the departmental heads to prepare within 15 days an action plan under the 'Clean UP, Green UP' project as directed by Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav.
The chief secretary has directed that a proposal should be presented to make tourist cities, including Mathura, Agra, Varanasi and Allahabad, free of polythene.
He has directed to ensure beautification and plantation on priority basis.
Ranjan said that vacant land beneath flyovers should be utilised for plantation so that it could not be misused.
