Subrata Biswas takes over as Director of BHEL

Subrata Biswas has assumed charge as Director (Engineering, Research & Development) of state-run Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd (BHEL).
"On his appointment as Director on the Board of BHEL, Subrata Biswas, 56, has assumed charge as Director (Engineering, Research & Development) of the maharatna public sector engineering and manufacturing enterprise," the company said in a statement.
Prior to this, he was posted at BHEL's corporate office as Executive Director (Corporate Engineering & Product Development).
He has 33 years of diversified and versatile professional experience through working in major R&D segments of BHEL.

MMTC AGM okays appointment of Ved Prakash as CMD

* Government-owned trading firm MMTC today said its shareholders have approved the appointment of Ved Prakash as the chairman and managing director.
The shareholders at the 52nd Annual General Meeting on September 29 approved the ordinary resolution of the appointment.
