Sugar climbs on fresh demand

Both the varieties of sugar prices climbed at the Vashi wholesale sugar market here today on fresh demand from stockist and retailers amidst good millers offtake.
Small sugar (S-30) moved up by Rs 10 per quintal to Rs 3,210/3,262 from Monday's closing level of Rs 3,196/3,262.
Medium sugar (M-30) also went up by Rs 10 per quintal to Rs 3,242/3,441 as against Rs 3,242/3,431 yesterday.
Following are today's closing rates for sugar (per quintal) with the previous rates given in brackets:
Small sugar (S-30) quality: Rs 3,210/3,262 (Rs 3,196/3,262.
Medium sugar (M-30) quality: Rs 3,242/3,441 (Rs 3,242/3,431).
