Sugar drops on reduced demand

Both the varieties of sugar prices dropped at the Vashi wholesale market here today due to reduced demand from stockists and retailers amid ample supply.
Small sugar (S-30) dipped by Rs 20/10 per quintal to Rs 2,852/3,012 from Monday's closing level of Rs 2,872/3,022.
Medium sugar (M-30) also fell by Rs 10 per quintal to Rs 2,986/3,212 as against Rs 2,986/3,222 yesterday.
Following are today's closing rates for sugar (per quintal) with the previous rates given in brackets:
Small sugar (S-30) quality: Rs 2,852/3,012 (Rs 2,872/3,022).
Medium sugar(M-30) quality: Rs 2,986/3,212 (Rs 2,986/3,222).
