Sugar ends stable in thin trade

Both the varieties of sugar prices ruled stable at the Vashi wholesale sugar market here today due to sluggish demand on the back of ample supplies.
Following are today's closing rates for sugar (per quintal) with the previous rates given in brackets:
Small sugar (S-30) quality: Rs 3,142/3,241 (Rs 3,142/3,241.
Medium sugar (M-30) quality: Rs 3,232/3,421 (Rs 3,232/3,421).
