Sugar ends steady amid weak demand

Prices of both varieties of sugar ended stable at the Vashi wholesale market today due to lack of demand from domestic as well as upcountry advices coupled with adequate stock positions.
Following are today's closing rates for sugar (per quintal) with the previous rates given in brackets:
Medium sugar (M-30) quality: Rs 3,212/3,372 (Rs 3,212/3,372).
Small sugar (S-30) quality: Rs 3,090/3,205 (Rs 3,090/3,205).
