Sugar millgate prices down on ample supply

Sugar millgate prices eased up to Rs 10 per quintal in the national capital today following adequate stocks amid persistent supplies from mills against scattered buying by stockists and bulk consumers.
In millgate section, sugar Chandpur and Khatuli shed Rs 10 each at Rs 2,980 and Rs 3,130 per quintal, respectively.
Prices of Asmoli, Dhanora and Bulandshar faded by Rs 5 each at Rs 3,130, Rs 3,020 and Rs 3,010 per quintal, respectively.
Marketmen said apart from resiting stocks position on higher supplies from mills, subdued demand from bulk consumers mainly put pressure on sweetner prices.
