Sugar prices recover on fresh demand

Both the varieties of sugar prices recovered at the Vashi wholesale sugar market here today on fresh demand from stockist and retailers amidst millers offtake.
Medium sugar (M-30) climbed by Rs 22/10 per quintal to Rs 3,172/3,371 from last Saturday's closing level of Rs 3,150/3,361.
Small sugar (S-30) also gained by Rs 4/10 per quintal to Rs 3,086/3,171 as compared to Rs 3,082/3,161 previously.
Following are today's closing rates for sugar (per quintal) with the previous rates given in brackets:
Small sugar (S-30) quality: Rs 3,086/3,171 (Rs 3,082/3,161.
Medium sugar (M-30) quality: Rs 3,172/3,371 (Rs 3,150/3,361).
