Sugar prices rule steady on thin trade

Sugar prices witnessed a stable trend at the Vashi wholesale market here today in thin trade amidst sluggish demand on the back of ample supply.
Following are today's closing rates for sugar (per quintal) with the previous rates given in brackets:
Small sugar (S-30) quality: Rs 3,062/3,135 (Rs 3,062/3,135).
Medium sugar (M-30) quality: Rs 3,172/3,331 (Rs 3,172/3,331).
