Sugar rules steady in lacklustre trade

Prices of both varieties of sugar ended steady at the Vashi wholesale market today following lack of worthwhile demand from stockists and bulk consumers.
Following are today's closing rates for sugar (per quintal) with the previous rates given in brackets:
Small sugar (S-30) quality: Rs 3,876/3,926 (Rs 3,876/3,926).
Medium sugar (M-30) quality: Rs 3,920/4,092 (Rs 3,920/4,092).
