Sugar slips on subdued demand

Both the varieties of sugar prices slipped at the Vashi wholesale market here today due to subdued demand from stockists and retailers amidst ample supplies.
Medium sugar (M-30) dropped by Rs 20 per quintal to Rs 3,012/3,202 from last Saturday's closing level of Rs 3,012/3,222.
Small sugar (S-30) fell by Rs 9 per quintal to Rs 2,864/2,991 as against Rs 2,846/3,000 previously.
Following are today's closing rates for sugar (per quintal) with the previous rates given in brackets:
Small sugar (S-30) quality: Rs 2,864/2,991 (Rs 2,846/3,000).
Medium sugar(M-30) quality: Rs 3,012/3,202 (Rs 3,012/3,222).
