Sugar slips on subdued demand, ample supply

Sugar prices slipped by Rs 20 per quintal in the wholesale sugar market here today following ample supplies from mills amid slackness in demand.
Marketmen said fall in demand from bulk consumers coupled with supply pressure, mainly put weight on the sweetener's prices.
Sugar ready M-30 and S-30 prices enquired lower by Rs 20 each to settle at Rs 3,330-3,530 and Rs 3,310-3,510 per quintal.
Mill delivery M-30 and S-30 prices also softened by Rs 10 each to Rs 3,130-3,320 and Rs 3,110-3,300 per quintal.
In millgate section, prices of Mawana, Asmoli, Bulandshar and Kinnoni fell by Rs 20 each to Rs 3,220, Rs 3,2680, Rs 3,190 and Rs 3,320 per quintal respectively.

Mill delivery: M-30 Rs 3,130-3,320; S-30 Rs 3,110-3300.
Sugar mill gate (including duty): Mawana 3,220; Kinnoni 3,320; Asmoli 3,260; Dorala 3,240; Budhana 3,240; Thanabhavan 3,230; Dhanora 3,240; Simbholi 3,290; Modi Nagar Rs 3,230; Khatuli 3,280; Dhampur 3,190; Ramala 3,140; Bulandshar 3,190; Anupshar 3,120; Baghpat 3,150; Morna 3,150; Sakoti 3,180; Chandpur 3,180 and Nazibabad 3,140.
