Sukhbir lays foundation of Rs 580 cr metro bus project

Punjab Deputy Chief Minister Sukhbir Singh Badal today laid the foundation stone of metro bus project which will become operational within one and half years.
The project will come up at a cost of Rs 580 crore, he said, adding a fleet of 90 metro buses would boost the tourism sector.
He said the metro buses will be fully air-conditioned.
The project will have a 6-km elevated passage along with metro stations.
Badal said the project was being constructed and implemented under Bus Rapid Transit System (BRTS) in the holy city.
